Bad Combo hit the Portland, Maine music scene in the spring of 2019. The brainchild of front man, Jed Bresette (Tricky Britches, Starcrossed Losers), the repertoire of all original music brings the listener / audience member back to the alternative rock / third-wave ska hay day of the 1990’s. Lyrics by Bresette poke at the human heart while leaving room for comic relief.
Holding down brass and woodwinds in Bad Combo is Portland’s own, “People’s Horn Section” which seems to be growing in numbers by the week. Featured in the set are improvised solos on Trumpet, Tenor Sax, Trombone and Bari. You’ll hear a little bit of Weezer, Green Day, The Specials, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones hiding beneath the fresh sounds of the predominantly ska-oriented, Bad Combo.
