Brzowski Farewell
December 13, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 11:59 pm
$10.00 – $12.00
After 17 years of making Portland his home-base, the road-tested and highly-verbose outré rap purveyor BRZOWSKI (a.k.a. Jason Cornell) is departing to make a new home in Dallas, TX. Thu. Dec. 13 will be the last chance for 207 denizens to see BRZOWSKI as a local at the Portland House of Music and Events. After being an integral cornerstone of the Portland rap scene from 2001-2018 as a local fixture, as a performer, booking and promoting both local acts and national touring acts, touring extensively through 42 states and 7 countries, and as a founding member of long-running Portland-based hiphop/electronic label MilledPavement Records, Mean Uncle BRZO’s impact on Maine’s music landscape is undeniable.
BRZOWSKI will be joined by his Post-Rap/Progressive Metal project Vinyl Cape (with Portland’s C$ Burns, CT’s Mo Niklz, and VT’s Jane Boxall), Texas-to-Maine transplant Anthony Maintain unpacking his progressive lyrics and sample-based beats, hyper-gritty nu-horror Portland mainstay Shameek the God, and likely a few unannounced special guests.
Get weird with Portland’s most progressive hip-hop export one last time while he is still local.
