Raffi Der Simonian Album Release Party featuring Emilia Dahlin

Waterville native, Raffi DerSimonian will release his third original album, LEAP, at the Portland House of Music & Events on May 16th at 7 p.m. A songwriter with two previously released and critically acclaimed albums, DerSimonian has shared the stage with nationally known performing artists Naughty By Nature, Toots & The Maytals, Rustic Overtones, Chad from Dispatch, Recycled Percussion, Howie Day, and others.

“I was devastated to learn about the immense loss of Dave Noyes last week,” said DerSimonian. “He played a critical role in the production of this album, writing all the horn section parts and performing on a handful of tunes. He was an artist I admired greatly and was honored to have had the opportunity to collaborate. Noyes was truly one of the hardest working and most talented musicians I’ve ever known. His presence will be sorely missed on May 16 at P.H.O.M.E., and his life and legacy gives a new layer of depth and meaning to the theme of this new album.”

Portion of proceeds to benefit Maine Academy of Modern Music and Dave Noyes Family Fund.
