In the early 1990s, a new sound emerged from the Pacific northwest. Bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and the Stone Temple Pilots emerged onto the music scene, and when Nirvana’s release Nevermind exploded with the release of Smells Like Teen Spirit in 1991, it changed the musical alternative rock landscape forever: Grunge was thrust into the mainstream.
SMELLS LIKE THE 90’s, a tribute to three iconic 90’s grunge giants: Pearl Jam, STP, and Nirvana featuring the following tribute bands:
Yellow Ledvedder (Pearl Jam tribute) is a five-piece band from Portland Maine that has been wowing PJ fans all over New England with their authentic renditions of Pearl Jam’s greatest hits for over two years.
The Stone Temple Posers (STP tribute) is a four-piece band from Plaistow, New Hampshire that has been busy perfecting the spectacle and energy of STP over the past five years all over New England.
Priceless Advice (Nirvana tribute) is a three-piece band from Lowell, Massachusetts who have been bringing the spirit of Kurt Cobain back to life for the past four years.
Come as you are to SMELLS LIKE THE 90’s and relive some of the best music of the 1990s with a few of the most authentic tribute bands in the area at the coolest venue in Portland, ME. Dress code: flannel shirts, torn jeans, and unkempt hair.
