Ocean Sol Jazz Quintet in association with El Rancho Productions and The Portland House of Music announces; The Jazz Musicians Benefit concert to help end the Opioid Epidemic in Maine. We are acutely aware of the Heroin epidemic in Maine and around the United States, and have decided to raise awareness and funding to programs that directly care for people with addictions, that are willing to go for treatment and a sustained recovery from Opiates and other addictions.
We will also honor the amazing musical talent here in Maine by allowing sit-in players to play Jazz with us. If you are a jazz player, vocalist, bring your axe, and pianists and drummers; bring your hands and sticks.
This is a chance to hear and watch amazing jazz musicians perform for you. We will have great jazz, food and cocktails to raise money to directly help Human Beings suffering from addictions in Maine have a chance to recover.
Proceeds go directly toward The Milestone Foundation Detoxification Department, and to El Rancho De La Vida, a new sober ranch (for mostly un-insured people with addictions) in the Portland area opening in 1-2 years.
22 people are attending The Jazz Musicians Benefit Concert; to help end The Opioid Epidemic in Maine
